Coram Deo… “Before the Face of God”

This Latin phrase captures the “big idea” of the Christian life. As church planters our desire is to teach and model living Coram Deo to the Liberian people.

Live all of life in the presence of God, under the authority of God, and to the Honor and Glory of God.

Coram Deo Liberia exists to plant healthy, Liberian churches that glorify God.

Healthy churches practice at least 5 Biblical functions:

WORSHIP

They have a godly WORSHIP (John 4:23-24)

WITNESS

They have a godly WITNESS in word and deed

WORK

They have a godly WORK in serving their families, church and communities with a Christ-like attitude.

WALK

They have a godly WALK by learning and living out Biblical principles.

WELCOME

They have a godly WELCOME for the brethren. They practice (Fellowship) with one another in the church and homes.

How They Witness:

  • By practicing personal worldview relevant evangelism & discipleship when they share the gospel… this
means they don’t assume people have understanding of Biblical content and truth.
  • By modeling the gospel to those in their areas of life.
  • By facilitating church sponsored outreach opportunities such as Agriculture and Life-skills workshops that confront error in their culture with God’s truth, bringing transformational development to their community. The gospel is always presented and a Biblical worldview integrated in the teaching of these settings.
